The National Museum of Ceremonial Barges

The site was formerly the dockyard for royal barges, under the supervision of the Bureau of the Royal Household. It was later transferred to the Fine Arts Department and made a national museum in 1971. At present, 8 royal barges are put on display, all of them major ceremonial barges, including the Suphannahong – golden Swan Barge, and the Narai Song Suban King Rama IX’s Royal Barge.
