Conditions of Issue
 
 
   
1. Cards remain the property of Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Co., Ltd.
2. Cards can only be used in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Company.
3. 5 year card life starts from date of issue. Cards within validity period may be refilled with trips upon promotion as specified by the Company.
4. This pass may only be used by current fulltime students, aged not over 23 years, according to date of birth on Citizen ID and currently studying at an academic institution in Thailand, or studying in a foreign country at an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education. Student ID and Citizen ID must be presented upon request by BTS Staff. Misuse of card, or abuse of card conditions, will result in forfeiture of the card, together with any remaining trips. In addition, a fine not exceeding 20 times the maximum fare, will be imposed.
5. For the first issue:
- Non-refundable card issuing fee of 30 Baht
- No traveling deposit
- Initial value is as specified by the Company
6. Cards are non-refundable
7. Cards should be used within 45 days from date of issue or trips last refilled, after which any remaining trips will be automatically cancelled. New trips must then be added to validate a card for further travel. Trips are non-refundable.
8. Trips on 30-day SmartPass card are valid for 30 days from date of first use. And Trips can be used for unlimited travel distance for the number of trips specified ( Except on the Sukumvit Line Extension between Bang Chak - Bearing Stations and between Pho Nimit - Bang Wa Stations on the Silom Line Extension).
9. Penalty for misuse is as specified in Conditions of Issue
10. Card fee and charges are not applicable for replacements, except where misused.

3. Passes should be used within 2 years from date of issue , or when value last added or used, after which any remaining value will be automatically cancelled and cannot be refunded or used for further travel .
4. 5 year card life starts from date of issue. Value can only be added to unexpired cards.
5. For the first issue:
- Non-refundable card issuing fee of 30 Baht
- Traveling deposit of 50 Baht
- Initial value is as specified by the Company
6. Value added to cards must be according to increments as specified by the Company. Maximum value of BTS SKY SmartPass is 2,000 Baht (including traveling deposit).
7. Penalty for misuse is as specified in Conditions of Issue.
8. Card fee and charges are not applicable for replacement cards, except where misused.
